Οι καπνοί έχουν γίνει αποπνικτικοί και έχουν φτάσει πλέον ως το Σαν Φρανσίσκο. Οι εικόνες που αντίκρισαν οι πολίτες σήμερα είναι τρομακτικές, καθώς ο ουρανός έχει «βαφτεί» πορτοκαλί, από το πυκνό σύννεφο καπνού που έχει καλύψει για τα καλά τον ουρανό στην μεγαλούπολη των ΗΠΑ. Η ορατότητα σε πολλά σημεία είναι περιορισμένη, με το σκηνικό να είναι πρωτοφανές από τις πυρκαγιές που έχουν φέρει σε κατάσταση έκτακτης ανάγκης αρκετές περιοχές.
